Welcome to Project Alchemy, Australia's specialist source of Project Management resources for the consultant or project manager.  We aim to help you become a winner in project management!

We are an Australian-owned publisher of Project Management books and tools designed to promote project competency to individuals and organisations working in both business and technical projects.  Drawing upon our principal's familiarity with international standards and his experience managing projects in Australia, Asia and the USA, we offer effective, locally produced products which will simplify your management tasks.

Our principal, John Flynn, is a leading project manager and consultant based in Sydney, and is also a qualified workplace assessor, specialising in assessing and counselling Project Managers as they seek professional accreditation with their professional bodies.   John is a leading practitioner of project manager and a popular trainer throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific region.  He was given the prestigious 2006 Distinguished Contribution Award by the PMI Australian Chapters in October 2006 in recognition of his contribution to the PMI and project management education.

John conducts public and in-house professional project management training via an associated business, Project Managers Network.  These courses - at Introductory, Experienced and Advanced levels - are all closely aligned with the PMI's PMBOK, which is the USA's ANSI standard in the field, as well as Australia's National Competency Standard in Project Management (NCSPM).

John also conducts training in Risk Management, Microsoft Project and Business Case development, which are offered to the general public via the University of Sydney's Centre for Continuing Education (  The Centre also offers John's introductory 2 day Project Management Essentials and the advanced 3 day Project Management - The Complete Guide courses (the latter course is also given alternately by John's associates).

Check Project Managers Network's web site for more details of individual courses or contact us directly to discuss your in-house needs.  The Project Management courses are endorsed by the Australian Institute of Project Management, and all the courses are recognised by the US Project Management Institute (PMI).

Apart from our product range, our site offers you access to an email based chat group, links to useful project resources and some free give-aways for you to use on your next project.  We look forward to sharing our ideas and experiences with you as we expand our product range and links with other resources in the Australian Project Management community.

We also welcome anyone who has a book or software tool in project management or its related areas.  Please contact us about joining our list of publications.
