Project Alchemy is a specialist publisher and software developer whose
objective it provide you with tools to implement best practice standards
in your projects. We work with experienced, practical project
managers, drawing upon their field experience to develop reference books,
templates, processes, guidelines, checklists and training tools that can
be used by you in the real world.

The processes and concepts we
publish are based upon the experience of real projects and are validated
against industry best practice as documented in the Project Management
Institute's Body of Knowledge publications and similar references, such as
Australia's National Competency Standards in Project
Management.

Our Founder and Principal
Project Alchemy was founded by John Flynn, a well-known consultant
in project management and the IT industry in Australia and the Pacific
region. He has been involved in project management education for
the past seven years, conducting public and in-house training courses on
behalf of Sydney University, the Australian Institute of Management,
ESI International, the Research Institute for Asia and the Pacific and other bodies.
Over the past four years, he has taken these courses to China, conducting courses
in Project Management and IT Project Management in Beijing, Shanghai,
Dalian, Nanjing, Chengdu
and Guangzhou. He has also run in-house workshops in Hong Kong
and Bangkok, among other centres.
He has written many consulting reports and articles on the IT
industry and has worked for many years as a consultant in Asia,
Australia and the USA. Click here for a

John also conducts Project Management consulting through our associate
company, Makuta Partners Pty Ltd, including competency assessments,
project reviews, business case development, team building and post
implementation reviews.
John is also qualified to administer the Myer-Briggs Type Indicator
(MBTI), regarded by Davidson Frame as the most useful psychological
test for project managers (see "Managing Projects in
Organisations", Jossey-Bass, San Francisco, 1995). John
also conducts workshops in team building and team development using
the types and temperament theory.
